A court in Russia’s Far East has ruled that an Internet provider should bar access to YouTube, accusing the video sharing site of hosting extremist ideology. The file in question contained a nationalistic video titled ‘Russia for Russians’. The provider said the decision was ‘absurd’.
But some of the facts are , no court has jurisdiction over the INTERNET…
In YouTube’s case, the reason was an extremist video, dubbed Russia for Russians, belonging to a far-right movement. The other sites were banned for hosting copies of Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
The video, Russia for Russians had already been banned by a separate court for its ultra-nationalistic views. The prosecutors argued that the video’s presence on YouTube meant that the site had to be blocked. Apparently, no attempt was made to contact YouTube to have the video removed. The other four websites were the Internet Archive, web.archives.org, and three Russian libraries, lib.rus.ec, thelib.ru and zhurnal.ru. reports

Other countries that have banned YouTube include China, Pakistan, Turky and Iran.
Russia joins a growing list of governments who have blocked access to the video hosting site, including China, Brazil, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. YouTube material has also been censored in the U.S. and U.K. reports..

Aamir Khan made 24 friends during his two-week promotional tour across the country and has invited them all to attend the premiere of his film “3 Idiots” here Wednesday.

“Wherever I went, I made friends and I have invited them. All of them will surely come to the premiere,” said Aamir told reporters at Taj Lands End here.
“There are 24 people whom I have invited personally. They are those people whom I met in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. They are my guests,” said Aamir.
During his trip, only one girl recognised Aamir through his disguise in Tamil Nadu.
Asked if she was invited to the premiere, he said: “No I didn’t invite her because I didn’t speak to her. I have only invited whom I met and made friends with.”

Aamir Khan’s latest movie Three Idiots is releasing on 25 December 2009.

3 Idiots has the Aamir Khan-Sharman Joshi –Madhavan team of Rang De Basanti joining hands with director Raj Kumar Hirani who directed the very popular Lagey Raho Munnabhai .

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is making all the arrangements for Aamir’s special guests.
“They will stay in Taj Lands End hotel. Rooms have been booked and cars will be there at their service,” said Chopra.
Releasing Friday, the film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan.
Aamir wasn’t sure whether Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are invited for the premiere show, but Chopra confirmed their presence saying: “I have invited them and they have confirmed that they will come.”
