The Punjabi University, Patiala, has revised the dates of admission for the year 2009-2010
The dates of interviews, aptitude tests and last dates for accepting the applications forms for various courses on the University Campus, its Regional Centres and Neighbourhood Campuses has been rescheduled.

The interviews for admission in various University Departments, which were earlier scheduled to be held on July 8, 9 and 10, 2009, have been changed to be held on July 14 and 15, and for admission to different courses in the Regional Centers and Neighbourhood Campuses of the University at Bathinda, Talwandi Sabo, Malerkotla, Jhunir, Sardulgarh, Karandi, Dehla Seehan, Ralla Mansa, Rampura Phul, Maur and Jaiton will be held on July 16 instead of July 10.
Interviews for the sportspersons under sports quota and for the quota under cultural activities will be held on July 20 and 21, respectively.
The Aptitude Tests for the B. Tech. in Television, Film Production and Media Technology and PG Diploma in Audio-Visual Production courses, which were slated for July 9 and 10, will now be held on July 15 and 16, respectively.
The Aptitude Test for M.A. Part-I, Semester- I of Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. Theatre and Television, and M.A. Dance will be held on July 14. The timings and venues of all these tests, however, will remain the same. The Physical Efficiency Test for the Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) Part-I, Semester-I will be held on July 14 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The last date for acceptance of application forms for admission to various courses has also been extended from July 7 to July 13 with a late fee of Rs 1,000 and with Rs 2,000 on the day of interview.

The Punjabi University established on April 30, 1962 in the erstwhile princely state of Patiala with the main objective of furthering the cause of Punjabi language, art and literature, Punjabi University has since evolved into the largest University in the state. Spread over 600 acres of land, its 500 teachers are imparting instruction and guidance to nearly 9,000 students in a multi-faceted, multi-pronged and multi-faculty environment comprising 65 Teaching and Research Departments on its Campus, five Regional Centres, six Neighbourhood Campuses and 166colleges affiliated to it.
