From this year the CAT Entrance Test for admissions into IIM’s will be held online. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). This is the first time that CAT will be conducted online.
CAT is going to be a computer-based test (CBT). and not Internet based test (IBT). i.e. Candidate does not take the test on an Internet site.
The format of the test will remain more or less the same except that a candidate reads a question on a computer terminal and clicks on the correct answer.
Can candidate take the test from any computer?
No. A candidate will take the test only at designated test venues in 30 cities across India.
To release tension of students about this Computer based online test, Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and Prometric have come out with a video tutorial for CAT (Common Admission Test).
